APSIG 2023 is the 2023 edition of the capacity-building initiative of the Asia-Pacific School on Internet Governance. Previous editions have been held in Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bangkok, and also virtually during the COVID-19 shutdown.

Fellowship
The Fellowship announcement for the 2023 cohort will be made on the website and on the email list shortly. Candidates from any geography that’s part of the Asia-Pacific region may apply for the Fellowship. One Fellow’s seat is reserved for a person with disabilities. 
Scrutiny of applications for identifying short-listed fellows will be done through a Fellowship Committee chaired by a Vice Chair of APSIG, together with members of the APSIG community identified through a public call which will be made through this website and the APSIG lists. 
After the Fellow selection is complete, instructions for travel ticketing will be provided to selected individuals, together with invitation letters for visas and instructions on how to book tickets. APSIG will provide the cheapest economy-class air tickets to candidates through a well-defined process. APSIG will also provide twin-sharing accommodation in Manila from the evening of 26 Nov 2023 (Day 0) until lunch on 29 Nov 2023. Candidates are required to arrange for travel insurance and visas at their cost and also follow any health protocol that is in place at the time of travel. Any non-APSIG travel-related items or costs shall be borne by the candidates themselves. 

Program
The Program Committee of APSIG, chaired by one of the APSIG Vice Chairs will formulate the program schedule of APSIG. The members of the Program Committee will be identified from the APSIG community based on a public call for volunteers.
The tentative program schedule will be provided here by the first week of September. The program will start with an ice-breaking and dinner session at 18:00 Philipines time on 26 Nov 2023 and will end with lunch on 29 Nov 2023.

Prep session and Instructions
Selected Fellows will join a Fellow Introduction online session approximately 2 weeks before the APSIG event, once the travel plans are finalized. In addition, the Program Committee will be sharing a set of online learning requirements that selected Fellows are required to undertake.
