About APSIG:

APSIG is the premier source of capacity building that brings together individuals with common interest in Internet governance from the Asia-Pacific region. This Annual school aims to empower participants with comprehensive insights into the dynamic landscape of Internet governance, equipping them to actively engage in policy discussions and decision-making processes.

 Fellowship Benefits:

Target Audience

1. APSIG is a second-tier leadership program.
2. The APSIG Fellows are expected to be familiar with internet governance, having attended a national School or any other event related to Internet Governance.
3. APSIG will also consider applicants who study or work in the field of information and communication technologies and are keen to learn about internet public policy discussions.
4. For the countries without any national SIG or IG events, newcomers may be considered.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. This Fellowship is open to individuals from the Asia Pacific region with a strong interest in Internet governance.
2. Professionals, academics, researchers, civil society members, and representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations.
3. Proficiency in English is required, as APSIG sessions will be conducted in English.
4. Relevant demonstrated knowledge, background and interest e.g. attending webinars, relevant courses, meetings, whether remote or in-person.
5. Willingness to adhere to the APSIG’s expected standards of behavior.
6. APSIG alumni are not eligible to apply.
7. Conference hoppers or people who habitually attend events but do not contribute to the community will not be preferred.
8. Females, Persons with Disabilities and other marginalized communities are encouraged.
9. Motivation and post-school community engagement plan is highly desirable.
10. Staff members, blood relatives and any other close association with APSIG sponsors, Executive Committee and Fellowship Committee members are not eligible.
