APSIG 2026
Call for Program Committee Members
Dear All,
The Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) is an annual Training of Trainers program that brings together Internet leaders, experts, and practitioners from across the Asia-Pacific region to deliberate on key Internet Governance issues. The Program Committee (PC) is the core body responsible for shaping APSIG’s intellectual content — designing the program themes, sessions, and speaker line-up.
We are inviting expressions of interest from qualified individuals to serve on the APSIG 2026 Program Committee. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the selection criteria and responsibilities outlined below and submit their application by 14 June 2026.
1. Selection Criteria
- The PC will consist of 5–7 members.
- Prior experience in organizing APSIG or programs of a similar nature.
- Good knowledge of the APSIG community, its target audience, and past editions.
- Expertise in technical areas relevant to APSIG, including Data Privacy, AI Governance, Access & Connectivity, Diversity & Inclusion, Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Social Media Governance, and related fields.
- The PC Chair and two members of the APSIG Executive Committee will select the PC members.
- The PC should collectively represent diverse perspectives, including individuals from different geographic areas, genders, age groups, and professional backgrounds.
- Candidates should demonstrate a genuine commitment to education and capacity building in Internet Governance, and a passion for developing the next generation of leaders in this field.
2. Role and Responsibilities
- Design the overall theme and session structure of the annual APSIG program.
- Identify and invite speakers and resource persons for each session.
- Coordinate program logistics in collaboration with the APSIG Secretariat.
- Collect and review participant feedback after the event.
- Assess the program’s effectiveness and provide recommendations to guide future editions.
- Report to the APSIG Executive Committee and the broader APSIG community as required.
- The term of PC membership runs through the conclusion of the APSIG 2026 event.
