Founded by a team of enthusiasts led by Professor Kilnam Chon — considered the “Father of the Internet in Asia Pacific” — APSIG provides comprehensive training programs for aspiring youths and regional leaders.

The local host must be a registered entity within the jurisdiction of the hosting economy and hold an active bank account. Conference dates are typically in Q3–Q4, avoiding major overlaps with APNIC, IGF, ICANN, and similar events.
